Day 7 AF with a new mindset! So grateful! Loneliness has been a primary trigger in the past…. I’m starting to imagine a future soulmate IS out there, but like my “new” self is working through some stuff, so when we meet, we’ll be bringing better, improved versions of ourselves to the relationship 💖
I am \ was a binge drinker and the cravings for me are a feeling that something is missing, its like something in life is not right, its a very hard feeling to have. I also have very quick cravings (thought bombs) and i just react, these are also challenging to ignore

This talk is so important to me; especially the comparison of discomfort of craving (harmless) vs. discomfort of effects of alcohol (harmful).
Regarding relationships, I can’t and don’t even want to think about that right now. I need to and want to be alone. I need to work on myself.
Thank you for sharing your wisdom Kevin.
There is a place and time for everything Lisa. That’s the beauty of this new journey, you get to choose, with a clear and measured head, what, where, how, and with whom you move through the rest of your life. I love it!

Definitely, getting drunk is a selfish act.

Hi Kevin, I so so so appreciated this post. Truly thinking about the person I am with (my husband) helps make this journey for me encouraging. 🙂
