Dear Sirs, I had signed up with the year’s subscription to the 180 program, and I believe that my full payment has gone through. My problem is that I cannot sign in to Habits Unplugged. I get the twice daily emails with the coaching from Kevin (which I am totally enjoying) yet cannot sign in for the forum. I received an email that I would be sent an email so that I could get a new password. This was never sent, and I am left wondering if I have been unsubscribed by you, or whatever. I hope that you will kindly help me understand my situation. Thanks

Been in a long distance relationship for a number of years. The past 3 have seen less visits and more of my drinking. Never, until now, have I thought that there could be a correlation between the two.
I’m questioning myself then as to whether it is less visits = more drinking, or more drinking = less visits.

With great I reluctance finally acknowledged that it is my relationship mostly that triggers my drinking. Over the past 5 years, I did many things to stop drinking, except face the fact that what had been gnawing away at me was my relationship of 26 yrs to a really good person. I did try to override what was missing but it kept coming back at me and I would push it down again. If he had been more open or been willing to seek some counseling (never) we could have moved forward. My marriage has fallen apart and I have no idea what’s going to happen to me but I have stopped drinking…..

That’s a very positive discovery Rochelle… Stopping drinking alcohol is one ending that is going to signify a lot of new beginnings for you… I hope you can work this out

Good morning Day 7 AF! Thank you for the video, support, encouragement, and just simple GOOD advice! I started eating a mostly plant based vegan diet about a year ago after listening to one of your videos on YouTube…. felt markedly better almost immediately! But, was still binge drinking (not your suggestion, of course). With the support of this course I feel VERY hopeful I’ll break the cycle of insanity… nourishing my body with healthy foods, avoiding GMOs, practicing yoga, walks in nature, etc…. then “rewarding” myself every 3-14 days by pouring copious amounts of POISON down my throat! INSANITY! No more!!!!

Kevin, your observation that at the end of the workday, you’d deliberately, not drink water so that the pint would taste that much better, makes me think of my attitude towards food. At the end of the workday when I’m hungry, I often deliberately do not eat anything, but I know that will kill the desire for drink. Well, anyway, trying to plan my days to keep well fed and not getting hungry is one of the strategies I came up with to overcome the trigger created by hunger. Thanks for the program!

I did the same thing, David. I thought about that too when Kevin was talking about not drinking water in the afternoon.
I’d purposely not eat as it killed the wine craving. And like you, one of my main strategies to ward off the craving is to not let myself get too hungry.
On top of that though, I want to make sure that what I do eat is high in sustenance and nutrition. This will give me more energy, which leads to warding off another trigger, having to push past low energy after work when I still have work at home to do.
